Linen Cabinet

A solid wood linen cabinet in Oregon pine and fumed oak, with a sliding tambour door and substantial oak feet. Its form is one I had wanted to explore for a long time, with the large feet giving the piece a sculptural presence.

I fumed the oak myself, deepening its colour through a reaction with the tannins naturally present in the wood. The cabinet is finished with hardwax oil to bring out the grain and character of both woods.
The tambour door slides to the right, revealing three solid birch shelves for storing bed linen, towels and other textiles.
